The President’s Statement

As a public institution in one of the most diverse states in the nation, TCNJ fosters and nurtures a truly inclusive campus community as part of its mission to develop critical thinkers, effective managers and employees, engaged leaders, and responsible citizens. The establishment of our Division of Inclusive Excellence, the opening of our Intercultural Center, and the updating of our recruitment and hiring practices to ensure equity in the treatment of all our students, faculty, and staff are significant examples of our commitment in this regard. Guided by our inclusive excellence strategies and with the active participation of our campus community, we sustain a supportive and welcoming environment across our campus. Our aspirations and obligations, as the best public higher education institution in our state, require no less.
