March 10 | Education 115 | 12pm
Have you ever witnessed a conversation go from debate to argument because of conflicting identities, opinions, or backgrounds in the room? This workshop focuses on the key “traps” that groups fall into when discussing topics like race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, regional divides, and socioeconomic status. If you are a student leader, student facing staff member, or faculty member who wants to ensure that you can direct these vital conversations towards productive ends, please join this interactive workshop facilitated by the Sustained Dialogue Institute. This workshop will be offered twice: first on Tuesday, March 10 and again on Tuesday, March 17.
